The Opportunity

How you will make an impact

  • Research, propose, develop, write, edit and collaborate on content in a variety of formats
  • Format online course manuscripts in order to ensure the usability of these blueprints to support preproduction learning experience design work and data ingest for course production while maintaining version control
  • Select, rewrite and/or edit copy or text written by others
  • Coordinate within their own departmental and divisional contributors to ensure seamless execution of crossdepartment, multiplatform content
  • Propose, develop and organize new approaches to generate a variety of video content quickly, in response to emerging issues and developing technologies
  • Liaise with Media Research Team to ensure proper and accurate clearance of all material used
  • Create instructional materials including, but not limited to videos, online activities and audio/video script
  • Direct crew in studio or in the field, when required
  • Perform off and occasionally on camera incharacter roles, record voice overs, and direct talent
  • Perform other directly related duties

What you will bring to TVO

  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience making digital content, with some experience in filming real people (video and interactive content preferred)
  • Excellent writing and spoken French and English skills
  • College or University graduate (or equivalent experience) in Digital Media, Writing, Communications, etc.
  • Proficiency in editing/trimming (using software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro)
  • Ability to use production/postproduction software such as: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
  • Strong understanding of digital file formats and how to gather and edit media such as video, audio and photos
  • Experience and knowledge of educational media and current digital learning trends
  • Working knowledge of online production processes, digital asset management, and backend administration
  • Proven selfstarter with excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Motivated, with the ability to work independently and productively in highly collaborative teams
  • Demonstrated flexibility with work assignments, with the ability to work efficiently, establish priorities, and work effectively under pressure to meet tight and shifting timelines
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and client service skills
  • Adept at handling constructive criticism and executing on required changes
