- Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of the project life cycle for asset, infrastructure, and technology-related projects and initiatives to improve Intermodal operations practices, efficiencies, and capacities (e.g. opportunity evaluation, cost and benefit analysis, funding justification, specification development, construction supervision, - contract management as well as expense management)
- Engage and influence key stakeholders and build consensus to support effective project deliveries
- Develop design proposals for Requests for Quotes (RFQs), preliminary design, and detailed - design plans, and assist with business case proposals to secure funding
- Evaluate alternatives, RFQ submissions, develop tender specifications, and lead the project until complete
- Provide business intelligence based on analysing operating procedures and metrics and an understanding of Intermodal's operation
- Develop models to assess the operational requirements for capacity and Intermodal assets
- Evaluate Marketing forecasts to determine timing for capacity expansion initiatives
- Recommend and present process-based and investment-based solutions to decision makers and implement these solutions if approval is granted
- Develop models to evaluate terminal capacity (e.g., gate capacity, ground space capacity, etc.)
- Evaluate the need for capacity improvements and develop solutions
- Act as CN's technical consultant related to new product development and intermodal-specific process, civil and technological design and construction
- Coordinate with customers, developers, and consultants on new product development
- Provide guidance on specifications related to Intermodal operations
- Identify new initiatives that will improve Intermodal operations practices, efficiencies, and throughput capacity - Monitor new developments and trends in the intermodal industry
- Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in rail or terminal operations, marketing, or business analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Business
