    Your Contribution

    MPE, a division of Englobe, is looking for an Intermediate Municipal Engineer to join our office in Saskatoon.

    MPE is a full-service, multi-disciplinary engineering team in the municipal, water resources, and building services sectors. Our clients benefit from the flexibility and efficiency of a complete in-house engineering team which focuses on providing exceptional service through open collaboration and communication.     As a Municipal Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Project management skills overseeing project Team in the design and construction of municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review reports, proposals, expressions of interest, project scoping, design drawings, specifications, contract documents and cost estimates.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring of team members.
  • Develop business with existing and potential clients.
  • Ensure applicable standards, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during the design and construction process.
  • Prepare and oversee cost management of engineering and construction budgets.
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
    Your Profile

    The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • 3 – 5 years' of municipal civil engineering experience, though consideration will be given to suitable entry level candidates.
  • Be a registered as a P.Eng. with APEGS.
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Show an aptitude of general construction methods.
  • Self-motivated with leadership ability.
  • Ability to work in high paced environment.

    Applicant is to have experience in design, construction and project management of:

  • Experience in linear pipe design and construction including water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, drainage systems.
  • Municipal potable water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
  • Stormwater management projects.
  • Infrastructure assessments and studies.
  • Computer modeling experience (SewerGEMS, WaterCAD, PCSWMM, etc.)
  • Residential, commercial and industrial developments.
  • Roads and streets projects.
  • Basic Structural Design
