Established in 1991, Airborne Engines is an Approved Repair and Overhaul facility for multiple helicopter turbine engines used in military and commercial aircraft.

Job Position

  • Disassembling, inspecting, repairing, assembling, testing and troubleshooting of turbine engines.
  • Traveling to perform field service repairs as required.
  • Using special OEM engine tooling, balance equipment and mechanical presses.
  • Using measuring equipment, drill presses, bench grinders, pneumatic and hand tools.
  • Adherence to maintenance instructions for continued airworthiness including interpretation of technical drawings, tables, or blueprints.
  • Adherence to Canadian Aviation Regulations including other industry standards/requirements.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma ideology.
  • Adherence to Company policies, procedures including Health and Safety.

Additional Skills and Interests:


  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to accurately interpret visual defects and compare to OEM limitations.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skill can do attitude and adaptable, punctual, reliable.
  • Motivated in continuous improvement.
  • Must be an analytical thinker, decisive and problem solver.
  • Energetic, hardworking, and effective in team working environment as well as working independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Able to safely handle aircraft engine parts, include parts up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong interest in the Aviation Industry.

Qualification, Education and Training

  • High School Diploma
  • Certificate in Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Maintenance or;
  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Category 'M'

Additional Education and Training

  • Human Factors
  • WHIMIS
  • CCAA
  • Canadian Aviation Regulation Training.

Education:


  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

- aircraft maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
