As a Business Development Representative at InterTalk, your mission is to cultivate a pipeline of qualified opportunities for our Sales team.

Your
core responsibility involves executing outbound sales initiatives targeted towards prospective customers within specific industries. Simply, your responsibility is to make connections We expect
75% of your time to be focused on outreach.

Acting as a passionate ambassador for InterTalk, you will be the pivotal entry point for potential clients, steering them through their initial interactions with InterTalk and seamlessly facilitating their transition to our dedicated Sales Team.

looking for your experience and creativity introducing fresh approaches to our BDR strategy from A-Z, from influencing the direction of our outreach initiatives, to creating scripts and developing metrics to measure success. This role is the perfect playground for your innovation and ambition.

In addition, InterTalk's equipment is used by railroads, airports and electrical utility companies to ensure the safety of their employees and to handle day-to-day operations, logistics, planning and emergency situations.

Under the direction of the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading the coordination and execution of lead generation, market research and outreach, focused on contributing to our revenue generation and growth strategy
  • Proactively researching, identifying and targeting prospective clients through various channels to build network and evaluate their system needs and requirements
  • Presenting highlevel product and company overview, delivering targeted value to motivate prospects to engage with sales
  • Staying informed about industry trends, standards and creative methods of outreach to engage prospective customers
  • Achieving prospecting activity targets and contributing to reporting and metric tracking
  • Maintaining and managing Market Engagement tools (e.g., lead generation and/or industry intelligence tools), including CRM, BDR social media, listbuilding apps, etc.
  • Coordinating with Marketing Team to align activity with campaigns and events
  • Contributing to the product strategy by understanding market needs, customer feedback, and industry trends using market insights to help form the product roadmaps
  • Continuously assess and drive continuous improvement through documented initiatives within the business development processes, identifying opportunities for streamlining processes, implementing automation and standardization and best practices to enhance quality, enhance deliveries, increase efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Representing the Company at internal and external meetings and/or events

Required Skills:


  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role, preferable in the technology industry
  • Experience with market research, leadqualifying skills and effective outreach
  • Experience and interest in coldcalling potential customers
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools
  • Social media management and collaboration
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A continuous improvement mindset for enhanced efficiency
  • High level of professionalism, attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong problemsolving and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative work philosophy

Experience

  • A business related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a similar position
  • Call center experience would be a bonus
  • Experience building a BDR Team in a SME would be a bonus

Nice to have skills

  • Understanding of marketing strategy
  • Experience with business analytics
  • Working experience with Atlassian/Google Suite
  • Experience with critical communic
