DESCRIPTION:
Organics LABORATORY ANALYST- E
dmonton AB (Full Time)

As a Laboratory Analyst in the organics department, your main responsibilities include:

  • Independently perform analysis of samples using GCMS.
  • Perform sample preparation using documented procedures filtration, screening, extraction & digestion.
  • Maintain control charts as per the QA/QC Manual requirements, monitor for failure to meet tolerances and institute remedial action immediately and effectively.
  • Follow analytical methods in accordance with SOPs and specific study requirements.
  • Prepare all required reagents, standards, reference materials, etc.
  • Review and validate generated test data.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate instrumentation.
  • Assist in developing new and revising existing SOPs and validation schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University or College degree/diploma in related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience as an Organics Analyst in a production lab is required.
  • Proficient with standard computer software (MS Office, LIMS, etc.)
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Selfstarting with solid followthrough and multitasking capabilities.
  • Detail orientated & record keeping skills.
  • Managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Flexible in working hours (evenings and weekends).

Schedule:

Experience:


  • GCMS: 2 years (preferred)
- working in a production lab: 2 years (preferred)
