As a Summer Student at CF, you will have the opportunity to build upon your knowledge and experience in a real world environment by contributing to ongoing commercial real estate projects and supporting the research, development, and planning of new technology projects.

You will have an opportunity to learn and participate in the planning, design and rollout of innovative operational initiatives throughout Cadillac Fairview's portfolio.

In doing so, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical, business, and change management skills and competencies.

Your contribution will also provide a fresh perspective into the evolving world of technology and how it will enable CF to deliver market leading operations and elevated client experiences.

_ What you will deliver:
_
As a Summer Student in the Property Operations team, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Participate and help drive Property Technology research and development projects, including:

Operational Data Sandbox

Test integrations between data from Operational Technology (OT) and IoT systems using REST-API and help translate data into actionable insight through reporting and analysis.
Support CF's Business Analysts with conducting indepth analyses of operational processes to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
Support in the development of business rule documentation, standard operating procedures, and change management.

Digital Workplace Experience Platform Enhancement

Support CF's Applications Manager with the design and development of new, valueadded workplace experience platform features and capabilities through collaboration with CF's external technology partners.

Predictive Operations Program

Support the CF's Operations Services team with the development of advanced, innovative equipment maintenance and client service delivery processes using datadriven technologies
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder groups to help define data integration requirements and usecase criteria. Develop bespoke futurestate process maps for new datadriven operations workflows.
Support testing and commissioning of new 'Predictive' usecases within a live commercial office building.
Drive the implementation of an additional usecase by analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, defining usecase requirements, and collaborating with technology partners to deploy, test, and scale datadriven workflows.

_ What you need to succeed:_

Enrolled in Undergraduate program (2nd year or above) in a technology discipline including Engineering and/or Building Science, among others.
Basic understanding of, and interest in developing skills related to data analytics, digital communications protocols including APIs, machine learning & AI, digital technologies, software and hardware integration, and process automation
A profinity and desire to solve complex problems in a new, fast paced environment
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets
A strong work ethic and an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively and ontime
Excellent at communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and Microsoft excel
Previous experience in digital technology (IoT), machine learning (AI), statistics, and engineering design is an asset
