Afternoon Shift (Monday - Friday 15:00 - 23:00 hrs)


  • JOB PURPOSE
Execute routine and extensive preventative building maintenance and repair procedures within the Distribution Center.

Perform a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, minor plumbing, automation, MHE repair or other recognized crafts, or custodial duties as required for the purposes of maintaining and repairing the building.


  • SCOPE
  • Perform routine, repetitive, daily inspections and maintenance necessary to building exterior/interior.
  • Assist and perform semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the Distribution Center building.
  • Assist with and perform installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of power conveyor equipment (Dematic conveyor solution).
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and conveyor components, including belts, motors, photoeyes, relays, and more.
  • Assist and perform functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards/chalkboards, tack boards and a variety of other structures and items.
  • Maintain all warehouse areas and ensure they remain in a clean and orderly condition at all times. Create action plans and manage their execution for all short falls.
  • Inspect property and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.
  • Perform daily inspections of the inside/outside Distribution Center areas.
  • Prepare and paint walls and woodwork or perform other types of refinish; install or repair carpet; install or repair toilets, sinks, urinals as needed; perform custodial duties as required.
  • Sourcing contractors, receiving / negotiating quotes and full involvement in the awarding process.
  • Schedule contractors, inspect jobs done by contractors, review and sign off on work orders.
  • Schedule repairs/preventative maintenance for all MHE / conveyor equipment with the providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules, and MSDS sheets.
  • May perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to travel to multiple facilities to perform maintenance duties.

Wears appropriate PPE's and Company issued uniform.

Complies with all Lockout/Tagout procedures for servicing of equipment.

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Industrial Maintenance Mechanic certificate/diploma preferred.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment and Battery Maintenance (Raymond / Tennant experience preferred)
  • Experience with powered conveyor system operation and maintenance (Dematic systems preferred)
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic and electrical systems

  • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
  • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases
  • Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, turning and reaching; bending at the waist. Indoor/ outdoor work environment with exposure to weather extremes
  • Must be able to perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, provide oral information, and possess the manual dexterity to handle and work with various materials and objects which are essential aspects of this position
