JOB SUMMARY
The Fitness Consultant/Personal Training Sales will be responsible for actively generating club revenue. The Fitness Consultant will oversee sales initiatives and drive revenue through membership and personal training sales.

The Fitness Consultant must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, meet strict deadlines, be able to work in an office or gym setting, communicate effectively with management and provide superior customer services to our members and prospects.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides sales leadership to the rest of the staff
  • Sells memberships and personal training programs
  • Involved in promoting corporate membership programs
  • Develops new sales programs monthly to be presented to the General Manager
  • Sell and processes all premembership sales. Work with prospects to create custom personal training packages and payment plans.
  • Generate sales initiatives through social media and grass roots marketing
  • Handle all aspects of the membership division (sign ups, data entry, holds, cancellations)
  • Meet monthly sales goals for various membership
  • Maintain relationships with existing members and prospects
  • Generate new ideas for in club promotions and promotional ideas
  • Communicate with existing members about their accounts, process requests, upsell memberships
  • Handle all aspects of the sale. Initial inquiry, meeting, tour, paperwork, followups
  • Grow awareness in the community.
  • Meet with General Manager regularly to provide updates on sales, promotions and any other reporting
  • Actively socialize and interact with members and customers
  • Solicits membership feedback and offers new ideas for retention, improved customer service and new sales
  • Makes club "rounds" by circulating throughout the entire facility locating any problems/issues that exist and takes actions to resolve these
  • Performs a general customer service role by answering member/guest questions as they arise
  • Assist with Facility duties
  • Other duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be highly motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to sell high ticket value personal training packages
  • A comprehensive understanding of sales operations

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have experience in sales
  • Experience in a health club or the hospitality industry is preferred
  • College degree preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to physically demonstrate the proper usage of all equipment. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands; and hear or talk. The employee is required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Part-time hours: 25 to 30 hrs per week

$50,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
