Monday to Friday (4:00pm to 12:30am)

Position Overview

First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for a seasoned Night Shop Foreman/ Chargehand.

We are looking for best in the industry who are ready to build a long-term career working on all OEM Heavy Duty Trucks, Trailers and Motorhomes.

Compensation Plan

Competitive Base wage

- $45.40/hr. (Journeyman rate) + $3.43 (Chargehand premium) + $1.75 (Shift differential)

Primary Job Functions

Directly supervise chargehands and monitor technicians in the performance of all their duties.
Assist assigning technicians to jobs based on skill levels and training certifications
Assist in repair order process.
Perform Road tests.
Perform quality assurance activities, including:
Quality assurance inspections
Checks of job progress and quality
Training Technicians in quality assurance
Supervise the maintenance/use of tools and shop equipment with an emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) Journeyman Certificate (or Red Seal).
Selfstarter able to work in a fastpaced, detailed, and processdriven environment.
Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
Class 5 driver's license.
Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus.
