Now, we're seeking a dedicated Health & Safety and Training Specialist to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to safety and excellence.


Primary Purpose and Function:


As the Health & Safety and Training Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in administering and overseeing all aspects of MPS training, health & safety compliance, and document management.

Your goal will be to provide a safe, engaging environment for our employees while mitigating risks to MPS.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and administer MPS Health and Safety program, including policy creation and documentation.
  • Coordinate and administer safety committees and compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations and reporting, ensuring compliance with WSIB and MOL requirements.
  • Facilitate yearround training sessions for all MPS positions and coordinate thirdparty training programs.
  • Develop and update training curriculum and materials to ensure relevancy and effectiveness.
  • Oversee documentation and data management related to safety and training initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee disciplinary issues related to safety compliance.
  • Coordinate safety assessments and manage accident claims and returntowork programs.
  • Any additional MPS related tasks as they may arise.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., CRSP, CHRP) preferred.
  • Experience in administering health and safety programs, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and developing training materials.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.

$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
