Now, we're seeking a dedicated Health & Safety and Training Specialist to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to safety and excellence.
Primary Purpose and Function:
As the Health & Safety and Training Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in administering and overseeing all aspects of MPS training, health & safety compliance, and document management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer MPS Health and Safety program, including policy creation and documentation.
- Coordinate and administer safety committees and compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Conduct incident/accident investigations and reporting, ensuring compliance with WSIB and MOL requirements.
- Facilitate yearround training sessions for all MPS positions and coordinate thirdparty training programs.
- Develop and update training curriculum and materials to ensure relevancy and effectiveness.
- Oversee documentation and data management related to safety and training initiatives.
- Provide guidance on employee disciplinary issues related to safety compliance.
- Coordinate safety assessments and manage accident claims and returntowork programs.
- Any additional MPS related tasks as they may arise.

- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Personable: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate safety procedures and training initiatives.

Excellent reading, writing, and oral communication skills.

Willingness to be hands-on when needed, especially in promoting a culture of safety.
- Self-Starter: Capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unforeseen challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., CRSP, CHRP) preferred.
- Experience in administering health and safety programs, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Experience in conducting training sessions and developing training materials.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
