NOTE:
This Competition may be used to fill up to 2 permanent positions.
This position is considered Hybrid meaning that the incumbent will physically work 3 days per week in the St. Albert office and 2 days from their home residence.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Merchandise Planner to create and maintain financial plans regarding inventory forecasts, as well as effectively partner with our Category Management Specialists to identify and implement strategies to achieve the approved plans.
Reporting to the Manager, Cannabis Inventory Management & Business Processes, you will oversee and analyze inventory management, and aim to maximize profitability for the Cannabis business line through producing positive results in areas of sales, profit and inventory turnover.
You will make recommendations to leadership on inventory management, and work closely with the Category Management Specialists, controlling open to buy and ensuring alignment with inventory forecasts.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Completion of a twoyear diploma in business or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in inventory planning is required.
- Strong understanding of financial measurements, sales, gross margin, inventory turn, weeks of supply and how to impact them.
- High proficiency with Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), is an asset
