Job Description:


This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading-edge Decision Support team in an organization that is embarking on a digital health transformation journey.

This position will have a hybrid working model consisting of remote and onsite work.


Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop and implement advanced analytic models to aid in problem solving and organizational decision making using machine learning, deep learning and other data science techniques
  • Lead projects focused on advancing the analytic capabilities of the organization
  • Develop and deliver training programs to advance data literacy and use of statistical, analytic, machine learning tools
  • Collaborate with hospital teams to achieve strategic and operational priorities
  • Lead all aspects of assigned projects

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Statistics or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare analytics is preferred with a tracker record of delivering results
  • Expertise in data science
  • Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing and other advanced statistical modeling techniques
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills, communication and presentation skills
  • Experienced working with healthcare data, health records and strong familiarity with healthcare privacy regulations such as Freedom of Information Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)
  • Knowledge of database design and experience working with complex data structures
- strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL and manipulation libraries, such as NumPy, Pandas

  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Keeping uptodate with the latest trends and tools in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to continuously improve and innovate
  • Communicating complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
