Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly market research and have an indepth knowledge of the current state of competition and markets.
  • Recommend rates to the District Manager for available units and lease renewals.
  • Ensure resident inquiries and issues are addressed within 24 hours.
  • Provide initial training and training of new and existing staff.
  • Establish and monitor staff work schedules in accordance with company guidelines and to overcome periods of high turnover.
  • Manage staff, including conflict resolution.
  • Provide knowledgeable suggestions for annual budgets, operating and capital plans.
  • Showing and renting the vacant units to potential residents.
  • Ensure rents are collected and deposited in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing maintenance systems (pumps, backup generators, HVAC, boilers, chillers, swimming pools, sprinkler systems, etc).
  • Assist the District Manager and Construction Manager in the execution of the annual capital plan and identifying current or upcoming physical issues for repair.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in residential property management or relevant professional experience (office administration, skilled trade, handyman).
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with residents, potential clients, colleagues and third parties.
  • Management skills to support, train and motivate staff and to develop a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English, an asset
