Research Analyst - Institute for Mental Health Policy Research
The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a full-time, contract (6 months) Research Analyst. Reporting to the Research Coordinator and Principal Investigator, the Research Analyst will work on the Scaling Up Maternal Mental healthcare by Increasing access to Treatment (SUMMIT) Trial, led by a Senior Scientist at CAMH. SUMMIT is a project that endeavors to implement and evaluate the delivery of a brief, evidence-based, psychological treatment of behavioural activation for perinatal depression and anxiety.
Key Accountabilities:
The Research Analyst will assist the research team and investigators in database development and the administration, collection, coordination, processing and quality control of clinical trial data. The successful candidate will be expected to:
Support data team with daily tasks related to participants (e.g. sending research questionnaires and communicating with participant and research team)
Maintain the REDCap database and set-up new instruments and surveys
Provide analytical expertise to support research teams' data, information, knowledge and support goals
Assist in the preparation of related data for peer-reviewed manuscripts and conference presentations
Creation and maintenance of research statistical databases
Ensure quality control of clinical trial data including data quality and integrity checks in statistical database
Aid in data management of related study activities; work closely with other team members
Monitor and maintain deadlines and schedules
Prepare written correspondences, reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Perform other general office-related duties as required (e.g., organizing and maintaining electronic shared drive and participant folders)
The successful candidate will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. This position is located within the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) located at 60 White Squirrel Way, Queen Street Site.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, health systems, or relevant discipline with 1 year recent and relevant research experience in a health setting
Experience with REDCapTM database is required
Experience in analysis and interpretation of research datasets
Experience in data management tasks for clinical trials
Experience with cost-effectiveness analyses an asset
Experience in SAS through clinical trials or other research studies is required
Superior organizational and time management skills with a flexibility to adjust to priorities
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Self-directed with an ability to make decisions and to exercise good judgement
Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
Strong organizational skills
The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
