The Role
Based in Nova Scotia
and reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Generalist will contribute to the Cooke team by:

  • Providing coaching, guidance, and day-to-day direction to the freshwater, saltwater, plant and distribution operations leadership teams
  • Serving as a resource on all Human Resource matters
  • Maintaining employee records, new employee orientation, administration of payroll and benefits, and recruitment
  • Being the first point of contact for employees.
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all aspects of the role
  • Have excellent communication, personnel management, disciplinary process, recruitment, and labour compliance skills
  • Possess a postsecondary diploma in Human Resources or a related field
  • Have 35 years of Human Resources related experience
