- Assistance with and preparation of compilation engagements under CSRS 4200, including preparation of adjusting journal entries, financial statements and corporation income tax returns
- Assistance with and preparation of client bookkeeping
- Assistance with and preparation of personal income tax, T4, WCB and T5 returns
- Supporting various projects and administrative tasks as required
- 3-5 years of experience in a public practice firm setting
- Completion of a post-secondary certificate or accounting diploma or degree required
- Completion of basic Canadian Income Tax preparation course(s) or experience in Canadian income tax preparation required
- Enrollment in or completion of a recognized professional Accounting Designation is an asset
- Accomplished in multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks to meet multiple deadlines with adaptability to changing priorities
- Ability to make decisions and problem solve independently within the scope of the position
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- Experience with any of Caseware, TaxPrep, Doc-it, QBO, Xero and/or Microsoft Suite is an asset
