The Opportunity
The City of St. Albert Policing Services is recruiting for a Front Counter Clerk to provide customer service for the department.
As the Front Counter Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving requests and complaints, processing criminal record checks, and accepting a variety of payments such as parking tickets, dog licenses, and alarm permits.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have at minimum a high school diploma combined with at least three years of previous customer service and cash handling experience, preferably in a policing environment. Previous experience using RCMP programs including ROSS, PROS, and CPIC. Knowledge of the City of St. Albert program Tempest is an asset.
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a variety of customer needs.
Hours of Work
We offer a compressed work schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO) every two weeks.
Week one: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Week two: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Compensation
$52, $64,190.88 per annum. ($28.20-$34.29 Per hour) In addition, the City offers a comprehensive flexible benefit package after six months.
This position is represented by the CUPE 5141 Collective Agreement.
Term
This is a term position from April 2024 to January 2025, with the potential for an extension.
