Purpose
National Logistics Services (NLS) is looking for the right individual to join our busy Tech team. The individual will help drive our infrastructure & cloud strategy.

This includes maintaining our integrated network across our head office and 13 sites, as well as our data centre, cloud infrastructure components and executing our transition from on premise infrastructure to the cloud.


Responsibilities

  • Manage cloud environment, currently on Microsoft Azure
  • Install, maintain and manage on premise VMware, Windows Server , Active Directory, Cisco Meraki AP, Avaya VoIP and other network gear
  • Manage Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint, Intune and Teams portals
  • Manage WatchGuard Firewalls
  • Build and execute data backups and disaster recovery strategies
  • Conduct WiFi analysis and deployments
  • Assist with critical outage resolutions, respond to tickets
  • Drive our strategy to move from on premise infrastructure to the cloud
  • Assist to update disaster recovery plans along with business continuity analysis as appropriate.
  • Work on any projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related IT discipline
  • Relevant Technical Certifications
  • Azure, VMware, CCNA, MCSE, etc
  • 35 years of experience as a system administrator / engineer in organizations of similar size (30 servers, 12 locations, 1500 users)
  • Experience in cloud transition and management, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Critical outage management and troubleshooting skills
  • The desire to work in fastpaced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
