Manufacturing Supervisor

Day Shift :
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Salaried Position with a Competitive Rate

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

  • Accountable for meeting commitments made to customers
  • Responsible for labour control, capacity planning, expenditure and production
  • Drive high employee engagement
  • Actively participate in leadership decisions that affect the profitability of the Business Unit
  • Perform data collection, validation and cost/margin analyses with followup process for a specific customer focused team
  • Communicate with other members of the team to ensure efficiency and high level of productivity on our production lines
  • Review and identify areas to improve throughout
  • Lead and motivate team members while attaining the company's objectives of safety, quality, and throughput
  • Oversee and facilitate functions associated with quality, process engineering, team leadership, scheduling, maintenance & production:
  • Daily interaction with team and collaboration with peers
  • Performance management (training on duties and responsibilities with regular coaching session, conflict management, attendance, wage review, career development) of direct reports
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing quality through control procedures (i.e. NCR, PAR and CAR)
  • Key account management responsibilities to ensure positive relationships with customers through direct contact, quick response to issues and anticipation of customer needs
  • Ensure quality procedures and work instructions are developed, implemented and followed as they pertain to the operation of the Business Unit
  • Add value through ability to understand and refine business processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Supervisory experience leadership, interpersonal, team building, and coaching skills are essential
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Ability to handle stress and manage conflict
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing best practices such 5S, Kaizen, etc. is an asset
