The Redwoods Golf Course is excited to be hiring for the position of a Front of House
Food and Beverage Manager This unique position is responsible for our seasonal restaurant that operates from April - December each year, but will also lead our team into what will be one of our busiest years to date with the golf course reopening alongside weddings and golf tournament banquets.


As the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of up to
four food and beverage outlets across the Redwoods Golf Course facility including the restaurant and banquets as well as on course food and beverage locations.

This is a
full-time, year-round position. The ideal applicant will have both restaurant managerial experience as well as banquet experience. Priority will be given to those who know the game of golf.

Due to the nature of the industry, this position involves working on some weekends, evenings and holidays and therefore having a flexible schedule is a requirement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively manage and oversee all daily operations of food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, banquets, concession and beverage cart
  • Work closely with other managers to offer a phenomenal guest experience
  • Lead by example as a proactive team player
  • Recruit and train new and returning staff
  • Promote a positive work culture through strong and supportive relationships with all team members
  • Motivate team members to strive for exceptional customer service
  • Ensure that all banquets are properly set up and staffed to run smoothly
  • Perform all budgeting for the Food and Beverage department
  • Monitor revenues and expenses
  • Negotiate supplier arrangements for food and beverage products

SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Passionate about hospitality
  • Exceptional communication skills with employees, customers, vendors etc.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent training skills and previous success in training employees

QUALIFICATIONS & ASSETS:


  • 4+ years of experience leading a team of at least 20 people
  • 3+ years of managerial experience in a restaurant setting
  • Banquet experience is an asset
  • Priority will be given to those who have a strong knowledge of the game of golf
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by event schedules
  • Valid Serving it Right is required
  • Willingness to complete a Police Information Check is required
  • Serving locals and guests since 1994, the Redwoods Golf Course is in North Langley just off Highway #1 and minutes from the Golden Ears Bridge._
