Shift Details

  • Training: Monday to Friday, 8am 4pm
  • Home Shift: Monday to Friday, shift to be determined
  • Must be flexible for shift coverage (if required)
  • Must be able to work statutory holidays and/or weekend shifts (if required)
  • Not a remote position

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our customs entry system
  • Review and process shipment data from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system
  • Reviews invoices, manifests, and other supporting documents to ensure CBSA's standards are met
  • Obtain customs documentation such as CUSMA or commercial invoices by calling vendor/client when requested
  • Provides customer service when required
  • Assist Raters with problems or backlogs when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail; able to make recommendations
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fact paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in order to communicate clearly and concisely with coworkers, other departments and clients
  • Proficient Data Entry skills
  • Computer literacy and strong skills in Microsoft Suite
  • Good analytical, clerical and organization skills
  • Motivated to learn and adapt to new assignments
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and under pressure

Education/Experience

  • Secondary school or related equivalent
  • One to two year general customs brokerage experience (preferred)
