Summary of responsibilities:


Reporting to the Manager, Regional Performance, the
Coordinator, Training and Certification is responsible for coordinating the implementation and delivery of the National Training and Certification Program (NTCP) and ensuring data integrity for reporting.

The Coordinator, Training and Certification performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.


What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Office Administration, Project Management or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in program administration or project management;
  • Experience coordinating large scale complex programs on a national basis;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Knowledge of LMS;
  • Experience providing customer service and resolving customer complaints;
  • Experience in developing business processes and procedures.

This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects;
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Strong problemsolving skills with attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and orally;
  • Ability to write and present information in a clear and concise manner;
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints;
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.

Valuable skills include:


  • Experience in monitoring programs, identifying trends, conducting data analysis and summarizing data;
  • Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA;
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and the related regulatory and security issues.

Specific work requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as required ;
  • Ability to travel as required;
  • Language Profile: English essential;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance;
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
