Job description

Reporting to the Ontario President, this role oversees estimating and budgeting management for assigned projects, provides clear direction to estimating team members, and distributes workload to capitalize on individual and group strengths.

Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the President, analyze and select projects to tender
In collaboration with the President, train the teams for the current estimates
Organize kick-off meetings with the teams
Perform follow-up meetings with the teams
Analyze tender documents and identify competitive opportunities and profitability conditions
Stay on the lookout for potential projects to tender
Supervise and direct all estimation activities to prepare a detailed evaluation of the possible costs of the materials, labor and equipment necessary to carry out the project according to the drawings, and the specifications
Advise on the procedures to be followed for tenders
Assist in establishing the project implementation schedule with the estimators
Organize the review and closing of submissions
Review budget proposals and service offerings with the estimating team
Negotiate contracts
Ensure that the Company has the best and most relevant software
Perform any other task related to the position

Qualifications:

College diploma (technical architecture) or Bachelor of Engineering.
10 to 15 years of experience demonstrating progression in estimating.
Experience estimating projects up to $100M.

Knowledge of local construction market.

Knowledge of Procore (asset).
