Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Geomatics Specialist to join the Burnaby office.


Your training and experience will be at a level beyond the basic understanding of ArcGIS and AutoCAD tools to enter, process, analyze and effectively display information of a spatial nature.

You will also have knowledge and experience with Web Mapping, Data Management and associated standards and best practices, and experience with all stages of a data centric project life cycle (from data capture through to dissemination to the end-user).


About the role
In this role you will be strongly production focused, with an eye for cartography, and have excellent interpersonal skills as you'll be working with clients and staff at all levels within our company


Duties include:

  • Providing quality GIS (Arcmap and ArcGIS Pro) and CAD (AutoCAD) production work to both our internal and external clients, within budget and on time.
  • Working closely with internal and external clients to meet their daytoday data needs, with a focus on handling large datasets in the ESRI software environment.
  • Assisting in designing and developing custom tools on a number of platforms to help streamline everyday data management processes.
  • Taking on other types of Geomatics related tasks as required.

About You

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (or technical equivalent) in GIS or in a Geomatics related discipline.
years hands-on Geomatics industry experience.

  • Knowledge of SDE, relational datasets, Python, JavaScript, and data management aspects would be considered an asset.
  • Possess a strong Arcmap and ArcGIS Pro cartographic skillset with 2 years handson experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for problem solving and assisting our clients.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in French and/or Spanish is an asset.
  • A portfolio of past work is highly recommended.

Salary range:
$60,000 - $75,000 annually
