Machine Operator - Brantford, Canada - Manco Hr
Description
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications and quality standards.
- Set up molds, load raw materials, and adjust machine settings as necessary to ensure proper operation and product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished products for defects and deviations from specifications, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor production processes, including temperature and cycle times, and make adjustments to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Document production activities, including machine settings, production output, and quality control checks, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and meet production targets.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations, including quality management systems and ISO standards, to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance job skills and knowledge of rotomolding processes and techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating machines or manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs.
- Knowledge of plastics materials and processing techniques, including heating, cooling, and molding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production instructions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality products in a fastpaced production environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour
