BEL Operator Ops P1- Process Operator Technician

The Process Operator Technician training program offers a progression through various production areas, as well as the opportunity to receive a journeyperson trade certification.

Process Operator Technicians are responsible for monitoring the refinery and minefield processes and making adjustments to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable operation.

What you'll do:

Independently monitor process conditions and equipment operation such as flows, temperatures, pressures, pumps, fans, pressure vessels, dryers, centrifuges, elevators, conveyors, compactors, screens, etc.
Make changes to process set points to improve refinery efficiency and/or avoid upset conditions.
Collect, analyze and interpret results of process samples.
Identify maintenance work/issue work requests and perform housekeeping duties.
Assist in training new area operators and participation in Mosaic's safety programs.

What you'll need:

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience working in an industrial setting with process and/or trades experience an asset.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to resolve process upsets through troubleshooting and problem solving.
Ability/desire to learn independently; selfmotivated, enthusiastic.
Shift work is required.
Experience with HMI or production software an asset.
Trades training an asset specifically in millwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation, power engineering or electrical trade.
