The opportunity
This position supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of communications strategies, primarily for TVO's internal audiences.

You will be responsible for supporting our corporate intranet, developing communications plans, producing communications content, and managing events that support TVO's strategic directions.


How you will make an impact

  • Oversees all aspects of corporate intranet site, including the content distribution, data collection, and daytoday management to ensure key priorities are highlighted, admin issues are addressed, and employee engagement is optimized
  • Develops and implements communication plans and communication materials for key initiatives, events, and projects, mainly for internal audiences and occasionally for external audiences
  • Plays a key role in TVO's writing circle a group of content creators that helps drive TVO's strategy and brand
  • Creates and maintains TVO's internal communications editorial calendar
  • Stays up to date and knowledgeable about emerging issues and provides support in handling sensitive issues

What you will bring to TVO

  • You have an undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • You bring a minimum 3 years of experience in corporate communications
  • You are a capable writer with a sharp eye for detail, able to offer quality work under tight time constraints
  • You have solid experience in utilizing Microsoft platforms (and experience with SharePoint is a definite asset)
  • You are able to monitor employee engagement analytics, creating reporting and providing insights for measurement of success with an eye on industry best practices
  • You possess a flair for connectivity meaning that you seek out ways to leverage and enhance connection within the organization
  • You are selfmotivated team player who loves to share ideas and problemsolve
  • You are driven to support employees by creating opportunities to share content and by championing the workforce's diverse voices
  • You have proven experience working crossfunctionally with other departments such as Marketing and People & Culture
  • You have demonstrated project management skills to help plan and execute events, as well as in the development of content and reports
  • You are experienced in managing sensitive issues of importance to an organization
  • You possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities
