The communications manager oversees, directs, and/or co-ordinates with other departments in order to serve our constituents in ways that are consistent with IFLC's mission and values and encouraging their continued ministry involvement thus advancing the ministry and its mission.
The ideal person for this role has a keen interest in written communication and an eye for detail. They should also be a natural team leader, have a strong grasp on technology, and have professional experience in both writing and editing.
Accountability: Accountable to the executive director
It is crucial to understand and support the mission and core values of IFLC.
Mission: Excellence in the Communication of Biblical Truth and its Application
Starting Salary Range: $60,000–$66,000 CDN per year
Job Description
Qualifications:

Key Areas of Responsibility
Administration
• Participate as a member of the management team, giving insights and recommendations related to
the CD as well as general IFLC strategic planning
• Develop and maintain a one-year CD calendar
• Develop and ensure compliance for the media and marketing budget in co-ordination with the
media and project manager
• Oversee staff development and supervision
• Facilitate effective communication and co-operation interdepartmentally
• Facilitate effective and efficient work strategies and initiatives
Content Management and Strategy
• Overseeing and directing content for all ministry materials, projects, and constituent
communications consistent with our brand and a pastoral orientation and tone
• Planning, writing, approving, and/or executing the print versions of Insights magazine and ministry letters
• Editing, proofing, and approving all other written ministry materials and resources for consistent
brand management and compliance across all platforms and media
• Providing final approval for print and online written resources
• Working with our media agency and/or marketing co-ordinator to develop promotions as needed
• Creating marketing-related content as needed
Interdepartmental Relations
• Co-ordinating with the ministry relations department to maintain excellent constituent care and
communication
• Co-ordinating with the ministry relations department in the development of various growth and
development initatives
• Developing special mailings and co-ordinating with the project and media manager and operations
director to facilitate segmentations, printing, and fulfilment
• Co-ordinating with other departments on metrics to improve tracking and ministry impact
