Procurement Category Analyst (8-months mandate) - Industrial Cleaning

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Category Analyst who will be part of the Atlantic Category Sourcing Team focusing on supporting Category Specialists.

This strategic role is based in Montreal with occasional travel (mostly in Canada and in the USA) to meet ** Business stakeholders and suppliers.


This role is a great opportunity to work for a global procurement organization with exposure to global operations, processes and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Specialist HSES / Waste Management & Industrial Cleaning, you will be focused to provide support on the Industrial Cleaning category by:


  • Extracting, manipulating, analyzing and interpreting data from procurement and project management systems (ex: SAP, Ariba)
  • Preparing bid packages, evaluate bid proposals, perform commercial analysis and create recommendations to award contracts
  • Conducting analysis and spend tracking to support the category team
  • Driving effectiveness and efficiency in procurement processes and report both internally and externally with suppliers
  • Developing and enhance reporting systems; create and deliver insights in written and presentation formats
  • Assisting the implementation of Key Performance Indicators to measure and manage supplier performance
  • Interfacing with Buy Team and Category Specialists to support progress on transactional improvements
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelors' qualification
  • 5 years' experience in procurement and supply chain
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel skills ex: pivot table, graphs, complex formulas, etc.) and SAP, experience with Ariba would be a great asset;
  • Commercial contract writing skills;
  • Ability to analyse complex data to provide meaningful interpretations and actionable recommendations;
  • Experience working effectively across teams outside formal lines of authority to deliver results
  • Strong English and French verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Actively promote the organization's brand through integrity, delivery focus and professionalism in all actions
  • Capable of developing clear and uptodate procedural documentation
