Key Responsbility:
Business Analysis and Quality Assurance (Technical)

  • Collaborates with the technical development team to ensure solutions meet the business needs articulated for developing or enhancing CAO digital systems and services.
  • Ensures all documentation for all CAO online systems (invitation, returns, public registry, notice of change, CAT-ODR and any other CAO business systems) changes is current, accurate and centrally stored. Reviews existing business requirements and processes for optimization; conducts gap analysis to define system impacts, outcome criteria, applicable risks and limitations.
  • Responsible for gathering and defining the business needs as well as reviewing and updating detailed product backlog items to ensure effective integration and optimization within the existing system architecture and system documentation.
  • Identifies and communicates benefits of software and reengineering business processes and technology solutions to promote the maximum benefits available.
  • Specifies system performance and control indicators for process oversight and monitoring.
  • Creates and maintains business system documentation for all CAO online systems (invitation, returns, public registry, notice of change, CAT-ODR and any other CAO business systems).
  • Coordinates with stakeholders and project teams to provide guidance and communication for User Acceptance Tests.
  • Develops and produces oversight reports to monitor project success and system performance.
  • Collaborates with the project team to ensure that infrastructure environment is configured as per design.
  • Resolves any system software issues and/or escalates the issue(s) to either the vendor for warranty work or to the internal development team for resolution.
  • Stays current with technologies; recommends process and or system changes to stakeholder(s).
Management, Functional Advice, Guidance and Support (Non-Technical)

  • Facilitate the establishment of team structure and roles, hiring and onboarding Analysts and ensuring adequate resource and talent allocation.
  • Manage employee/team performance by setting objectives and performance metrics and standards and conducting performance reviews.
  • Establish standards for Business Analysis, including methodologies, metrics, requirements, and tools.
  • Monitor service requests and project progress.
  • Support the Director, IT and stakeholders to provide recommendations on options and to help to define the end state of desired changes.
  • Supports the business in establishing financial and business performance indicators, measures, trends and targets; conducts qualitative and quantitative research, as required.
  • Creates and maintains business system documentation and departmental business practices and procedures.
  • Supports and collaborates with various internal stakeholders in all the stages of solution development.
  • Creates and executes test cases based on functional requirements; ensures each requirement test case has been identified, executed, and documented prior to implementation.
  • Performs data analysis, including reporting, to ensure integrity, troubleshoot and to support internal stakeholder needs.
Project Management

  • Leads work groups and/or small project teams, as required.
  • Collaborates on medium and largescale projects.
  • Maintains vendor relationships and administers vendor contracts assigned by the Director, IT to ensures vendor compliance with contract terms; reports issues or concerns to senior management.
  • Liaises with the Manager, Software Design and Development as well as internal and external stakeholders to prioritize and to implement the approved requirements.
  • Ensures all documentation for system changes is current, accurate and centrally stored.
Training

  • Facilitates the onboarding of new employees with functionality of the business systems and system features and operations as related to the specific business system.
  • Ensures that Business Analysts are adequately certified and/or trained.

  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Dynamics 365 (CRM, ADX and Operations and Finance) in an online environment.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst function.
  • 2+ years working in an agile environment.
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills.
  • Microsoft CRM Dynamics configuration certification in sales, cust
