Field Service Technician/shop Assistant - Concord, Canada - Tekton Industrial Services Inc.

Description

• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining the form and texture of parts.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Advanced technical or college training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required.
• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude, and some welding experience will be considered an asset.
• Capable of operating hand, power, and specialized tools
• Physical agility, manual dexterity
• Valid driver's license
• Must have a clean criminal background

• Day shift

• Industrial maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
• Preventative maintenance: 2 years (preferred)

• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (preferred)
• Power tools: 2 years (preferred)
• Hand tools: 2 years (preferred)

• English (preferred)

• Class G Licence (preferred)
