Tundra Rescue is hiring for seasonal part time and full time positions for qualified IRATA and/or SPRAT Rope Access Technicians who live in Ontario, Canada.
These positions have the potential to lead to permanent full time employment.Job Outline:
In this position you'll use your skills and experience, as a certified IRATA and/or SPRAT Rope Access Technician, to perform various rope access services.
During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather.
Responsibilities include:
- Work at heights in excess of 300 feet and in confined spaces to complete blade inspections
- Work using SPRAT or IRATA regulations
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, in various locations, as required
- Inspect, maintain and repair various types of infrastructure
- Taking care of tools and all of Tundra Rescue's equipment
- Maintaining personal certifications and qualifications for this field of work
Requirements:

Be a SPRAT or IRATA rope access technician, Level II or Level III or be willing to be trained to these qualifications
- Must have a valid Ontario driver's license;
- Ability to climb multiple 80m (260 ft) towers on a daily basis
- Desire to learn and take on new challenges;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Responsible and able to work in a team, as well as alone, with constant focus on quality & safety
- Reliability and a positive approach towards work and life
- High willingness to learn and develop
- Fall Protection/Working from Heights, WMIS, and First Aid training, or willingness to be trained
- Capable of working in adverse and extreme weather conditions
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Part-time hours: 35-45 per week
Salary:
$28.50-$35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime
