  • Scholarship recipients receive an offer of paid employment for a week Summer Analyst intern position at BMO Capital Markets in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver
  • Recipients will be paired with a Capital Markets professional to provide coaching and mentorship throughout their internship
  • Students receive formal and onthejob training, opportunities to network and collaborate with other student interns, and access to ongoing professional development throughout their internship
  • Successful recipients of a $10, CAD) scholarship award will receive their award via payment to their school's financial aid office, to be applied to their tuition.

What's in it for you?

  • Summer Analysts start the internship by completing a oneweek training and orientation program
  • During the next 15 weeks, in addition to onthejob experience in your assigned business group, you will participate in professional development sessions and events throughout the summer
  • Beyond the onthejob experience, you will have opportunities to network across various business groups, learn about BMO Capital Markets culture, participate in learning seminars, get feedback, and receive coaching and career guidance from mentors while broadening your skills
  • Upon successful completion of this internship, you may receive a fulltime offer from BMO Capital Markets

Eligibility criteria:


  • You are a student at an accredited Canadian Post Secondary Institution/University, currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2025 or Spring 202
  • You selfidentify with the following: Women, Black community, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) persons of Canada, People of Colour, 2SLGBTQ+ community and Persons with Disabilities
  • You are available to work fulltime from May-August 202
  • You have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • You are involved in diverse extracurricular activities and community organizations
  • You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or an individual who is legally authorized to work in Canada and will not require sponsorship in the future
  • You are not already receiving 100% tuition coverage from other sources and must have a current unmet need of $10,000 CAD or more.

Summer Analysts work in the Global Markets Group of BMO Capital Markets, comprising Client Coverage, Origination, Digital and Liquid Trading, Structured Products Trading, Equity Products, and Financial Resource Management.

Global Markets serves institutional, corporate, and government clients.


A variety of desks host Summer Analysts including Equity Sales and Trading, Clearpool E-trading, Prime Finance, Structured Notes Sales and Trading, Leveraged Finance, Securitized Products Sales and Trading, Origination, Debt Capital Markets, and US Interest Rates Sales and Trading.
