Serving students, staff, faculty and our wider community across all three campuses, the VPFA (Vice President Finance and Administration) leads and develops foundational support services to help achieve SFU's academic, research and community engagement missions.

We deliver SFU's day-to-day operational and administrative needs through the work of Ancillary Services; Facilities Services; Finance; IT Services; and Safety & Risk Services.

The position will be an integral part of the operation of the Ransomware Protection solution currently being implemented by the Servers and Storage group.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or another related discipline, and five years of related experience in storage and backup administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Excellent knowledge of storage solutions, problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, teamwork, and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to manage enterprise storage solutions.
  • Ability to configure and maintain complex infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
