As our new Manager of Utilities, we are looking forward to being guided by your knowledge of industry best practices and regulations to work in a professional manner.

This critical role within the Town's management team is responsible for the delivery of services in accordance with municipal operations, regulations, bylaws, and budget.

You will bring a strong knowledge of required levels of service in planning, organizing, directing work assignments, providing staff training and support, developing logistics and strategies, negotiations and the management of service and equipment contracts for Utilities branch within the Infrastructure Department.

We expect you will build some very strong relationships as you work as an integral part of a team to provide essential services to our community.

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week role located at the Town of Whitecourt. The salary range for this position is
$97,965 to $119,189. The Town of Whitecourt offers comprehensive benefits including a pension plan.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Level 1 of the Water and Wastewater Operator Certificate
• Have five or more years' experience of practical field experience in municipal public utilities
• Ability to demonstrate our values of diversity, collaboration, innovation, and mutual respect in staff supervision.
• Possess extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public and contractors.
• A Certified Engineering Technologist designation in addition to high school graduation are desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Possess and maintain a valid class 5 driver's license
