** **The City of Abbotsford is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and driven professional to join our team as in the role of
IT Infrastructure Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, IT Systems this role is pivotal in maintaining, optimizing, and securing our IT systems, providing the technical backbone for the operations. This role is a vital member of the Information Technology team to help the organization improve the quality, accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of City services and achieve Council's vision for the City _" to be the Hub of the Fraser Valley." _
The IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for increasing the in-house IT Infrastructure management and support capacity of the City and aims to address various gaps identified within the current IT Infrastructure team.
Additionally, will be responsible for the provision, sustainment, design, and implementation of highly technical solutions that support organizational strategy and business goals.
Along with supporting, coaching and guiding the IT Systems team to determine effective technology solutions to address business needs and provide operational support for the City's IT infrastructure, you will develop enterprise standards and administers the City's IT systems to ensure they are maintained and in compliance with those standards.
You will be a seasoned team player with proven communication skills, and have a detail oriented and proactive approach to supporting the City's IT infrastructure, along with the ability to work independently.
- A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a recognized educational institution or relevant Diploma;
- Minimum 5 years or progressively responsible related experience;
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to handle complex technical scenarios;
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service and team collaboration.
Salary:
$104,540 to $123,359
