The Impact You'll Make:


The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to manage the graphic design and public relations needs of the Hotel within the brand guidelines.

Design projects include print media and digital media, contributes hands-on to the production and distribution of marketing materials, may include overseeing videography and photography projects, assists with tracking results of marketing and PR efforts, updating websites, and online events listings.

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will also provide active support to the sales and event team with varied office tasks in order to help meet and exceed budgeted revenue goals.

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing to support the sales and event team.

Position Requirements:


  • Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Marketing Manager to implement marketing and advertising campaigns, planning, and organizing promotional presentations; maintain updated promotional calendars to ensure deadlines are met
  • Keep promotional materials updated and coordinate requirements as needed; maintain stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
  • Ensure Marriott Brand Standards are met within the Hotel
  • Work with Second Wave on eCommerce and Cloud9 on social media as needed and in the absence of the Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Assist with the management of festivals and events sponsorships to ensure the hotel is maximizing all opportunities. Duties include, but are not limited to inputting room blocks in CI/TY, developing and submitting ads, copy and logos for all printed materials, ensure we are represented appropriately on websites
  • Assist in market research; identify, and communicate trends major shifts and business focus of the major market segments
  • Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Assist sales and events in coordinating daily incoming and outgoing information to clients including proposals, contracts, mail, faxes, phone calls or messages
  • Assist in the organization, coordination and execution of specific functions and promotions handled by the sales and events team (e.g., familiarization tours, client events, sales calls, etc.)
  • Assist with customer contact on a regular basis (thank you letters, sites, promotional gifts, etc.)
  • Prepare documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders)
  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and attend all sales meetings
  • Present professional image through effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Conduct site inspections, participate in familiarization tours and/or tourism events as required
  • Responsible for office administrative duties including processing purchase orders, ordering supplies, report generation as needed, participate in phone coverage
  • Support wholesale by ensuring reservations is inputted correctly and assist with billing. Inputting reservations may be required
  • Maintain database of customers using CI/TY as directed by sales and event managers
  • Research and qualify existing and prospective accounts, for sales and follow up as needed
  • Be an integral part of the sales and marketing process. Be knowledgeable of all programs and work with sales team
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Graphic design
  • Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Photography, video and video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro) experience an asset
  • Familiarity with various social media and web platforms
  • Must possess exceptional customerfocused skills
  • Must be able to build and maintain credibility and relation
