Description
Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
- Manage equipment purchases, ensuring the equipment is delivered and installed properly.
- Purchase Maintenace supplies
- Keep track of repairs, maintenance and replacements of equipment, machinery and other materials.
- Source the best price when purchasing items for the team.
- Supervise the maintenance department to implement quality service to customers.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of inventory, repairs and maintenance.
- Take part in training, wherever appropriate, to understand new procedures and technologies.
- Manage maintenance yearly budget.
- Source, research, and evaluate potential suppliers for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials and services
- Negotiate and establish pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine MRO needs and requirements.
- Maintain and update procurement databases and systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan accordingly to ensure adequate stock of MRO materials.
- Analyze and compare supplier offerings to select the most costeffective options.
- Coordinate and track the delivery of MRO materials to ensure timely receipt.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, resolve issues, and address any concerns or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to purchasing and procurement.
- Identify and implement costsaving initiatives, such as exploring alternative suppliers or materials.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and recommend changes or improvements as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new products/services related to MRO materials.
- Prepare reports and presentations to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to MRO procurement.
Requirements:
Maintenance experience and equipment knowledge is a must
Knowledge of MRO products:
Strong knowledge of MRO materials, equipment, and services is essential.
This includes an understanding of different types of maintenance and repair items, as well as sourcing and procuring such products.
Attention to detail:
MRO buyers must be detail-oriented to ensure accurate and timely management of procurement documentation, purchase orders, inventory reconciliations, and invoices.
Negotiation skills:
The ability to negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, terms, and agreements is crucial. Good communication and persuasion skills play a vital role in successful negotiations.
Analytical skills:
Strong analytical skills are required to evaluate supplier bids, conduct cost analysis, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in using spreadsheet software like Excel is often necessary.
