    Description

    The Employee Relations Coordinator (Behaviour & Performance) works in a team setting and in a collaborative manner supporting staff, supervisors, and managers to ensure their compliance with screening requirements and conduct expectations. The primary assignment for this role is administrative support to investigate, if necessary, address nonconformities to standard operating practices, policies or procedures.

    Tasks & Responsibilities

    • Support operations with performance related matters, including the management of applying the appropriate corrective measures.
    • Prepare and lead investigative meetings, with management, regarding performance. Maintain all records regarding an event or incident, including a summary, with recommendation of outcome.
    • Assist in the evaluation of employee performances and compliance with key performance indicators, providing any recommend improvements to achieve optimal performance.
    • Support and apply performance improvement initiatives to meet business objectives and ensure contractual obligations.
    • Advise employees on policies and procedures and reinforce compliance.
    • Address performance related queries and concerns in a timely fashion.
    • Assess business risks and challenges and develop localized mitigation plans.
    • Monitor business performances and generate periodic performance reports for management review.
    • Identify knowledge gaps and provide educational trainings suggestions for professional growth.
    • Educate staffs about business procedures and risk management policies.
    • Analyze root causes of performance issues and suggest corrective actions.

    Education & Skills Required

    • Post Secondary or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum two years directly related work experience in a fast paced and dynamic administrative environment, and preferably in a unionized environment
    • Education in Human Resource Management or related field, asset
    • Knowledge of employment and Human Rights legislations
    • Good working level of proficiency and confidence in using Microsoft Office and other desktop applications
    • Self-motivated and able to manage own priorities to meet service level agreements
    • Ability to work under pressure and retain a clear view within a demanding environment
