Evening Shift (5:00PM - 3:30AM, Sunday -Wednesday with Overtime on Thursday)

Position Description:
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prep singlephase minipad transformer tanks prior to wash and blast.
- Cover the studs and flanges on the tank.
- Utilize a pressure washer and scrub brush to prep the product for the Viking, Gutmann or Ruvii Blaster.
- Operate the Viking, Gutmann and Ruvii blasting equipment.
- Required to operate a crane when running the Ruvii blaster.
- Add stainless shot to machines.
- Have the ability to lift and manipulate product on and off skids.
- Organize the load area according to colour and priority.
- Use a Forklift and crane to transport product.
- Perform general maintenance of equipment as required.
- Conduct required cleaning according to preventative maintenance schedule.
- Carry out other duties as required.
Qualifications:

Time management - The Paint Prep Operator will be responsible for managing their time effectively to ensure completion of the required number of prepped units.

Problem-solving skills - The Paint Prep Operator must work as a contributing team member and be solution driven to overcome any obstacles on the evening shift.

Handling and Moving Objects — The Paint Prep Operator must have the ability to operate equipment as required.

High Attention to detail - The need for precision work is high for the Paint Prep Operator. The operator must ensure that the paint prep process is completed in accordance with the operating procedures and quality assurance requirements.
Prerequisites:
- Demonstrated communications skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of planning and organizational skills.
- Experience in manufacturing environment or paint facility is an asset.
Working Conditions/
Physical Requirements:
- Tasks are repetitive must be capable of standing in one place for extended periods of time.
- Work is conducted in an indoor manufacturing environment, around various pieces of equipment (blasters, crane, and forklift).
- Environment can be hot during summer months.
- Heavy lifting required on a daily basis. The use of a forklift and a 2nd employee will be required for any material over 50lbs.
- Fast paced, efficiency driven environment.
- Rigorous physical activities pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and standing primarily throughout the shift.
