- Proactively network with new clients to build a healthy pipeline of new clients
- Work alongside colleagues across division with specialist subject / sector knowledge to establish solutions with clients
- Utilise the BSI sales tools to identify opportunities and sell a BSI integrated solution to meet the customers need. Produce accurate sales forecasts in a timely manner.
- Accurately record sales and order information in the CRM.
- Work with the operations teams to provide a timeline for delivery to meet client's objective and remedy any issues.
- Routinely review sales activity and quality KPIs, based on sales ratios to plan future sales activities to deliver on financial and activity targets.
- Remain up to date with developments in the industry and develop confidence to discuss with clients

- Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Computer and Software skills – Full proficiency in Microsoft Office and (preferred).

Purpose of the position
The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for selling Internal and Supplier Audit solutions to new clients, across BSI's core area of expertise. This role is responsible for identifying and managing sales opportunities, building an in-depth understanding of client business needs and drivers, to position how BSI solutions can enable organisations to improve and manage the sales process to a successful conclusion whilst maintaining critical success factors such as high activity (visit rates) pipeline health and growth and exceeding sales targets.
