The scope of responsibility of this job opportunity is Operations planning (all businesses & product lines, all geographies within the Americas), with particular attention to Industrial sites.
As the new Regional Planning Manager AMERICAS, you will be responsible for the following:
- Support the "On Time Delivery" of the Customer contractual milestones for all Projects by destination in the area of responsibility.
- Ensure time coherency between the different functions, axis (project management, development, production), and layers (strategic, tactical, operational) for all recurrent and nonrecurrent planning activities in the area.
- Be an ambassador for the planner's community in the area (competencies, adequation with workload).
- Lead the implementation of the SIOP Process (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) to all sites with efficiency and participation, leading to performance.
- Promote continuous improvement culture to improve site performances and great discipline in all planning activities.
- Animate APSYS (Alstom Production System) Planning roadmap to reach Master execution with performance.
- Support the sites in the preparation of their APSYS assessment.
- Tenders (by destination in the area of responsibility):
- Support of achievable and winning planning for tenders with main milestones and risks identified, with the support of the corresponding Product Line.
- Projects (by destination in the area of responsibility):
- Support with respect to contractually committed deliveries on time. Ensure the area is using standard Alstom scheduling tools with accurate data.
- Ensure planning coherency between the different functions in the area and planning synchronization with other areas/sites.
- Propose, if needed, additional specific planning instructions to the Global Team for process improvement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes & tools.
- Education background relevant to the area of expertise.
- Ideally, at least five (5) years of experience in a related industry.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fastpaced environment with multiple stakeholders and projects happening in different areas.
- Experience managing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and time management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
