Location:
Ottawa, ON
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct, contribute and assist in the identification of material resources to support system and subsystem preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Review elements of the technical data package to ensure that the technical data reflects the latest system/equipment configuration of the ships, is complete, accurate and consistent across the support solution.
- Review Maintenance Plans, Preventive or Corrective Maintenance Schedules, and Instructions for the purpose of identifying the necessary materiel resources to conduct the work.
- Conduct detailed sparing analysis to determine the optimum quantity and distribution of spares.
- Prepare for and participate in Initial Provisioning Conferences with end users and customers.
- Prepare, collate and categorize Supplementary Provisioning Technical Documentation.
- Manage the data within a Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an Engineering degree or Technologist diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic, industrial, reliability, Marine or naval engineering.
- 5 years experience operating and maintaining ship systems.
- Canadian Red Seal or Military QL5 certification in an approved Marine Trade, included but not limited to Marine Engineering, Plumbing/Black and Gray Water, HVAC, Hydraulic, Controls and/or Refrigeration Systems.
- Transport Canada Thirdclass Engineer, Motor ship or Steamship Certificate of Competency or higher.
