Your Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Grow top line revenue across multiple service offerings.
- Focus on developing and growing new and existing core annuity clients.
- Leverage client relationships to expand service offerings to key N. American clients.
- Drive overall Energy Business Line growth through increased market penetration and service offerings.
- Champion an integrated services approach for the entire range of Stantec services
- Partner with Stantec leaders to identify, pursue and win key opportunities.
- Recruit specialist staff and strategic hires across Energy Business Line.
- Using industry knowledge and expertise, contribute to development of Stantec market strategies for N. American growth.
Leadership
- Work closely with Stantec Client Account Managers, Regional Leaders, Technical Practice Leadership, and Business Center Leadership to identify and deliver safe, profitable, and sustainable projects and services for our clients.
- Provide input to Regional and Business Center Leaders in annual Budget, Career Development, Compensation, and Bonus processes, as requested.
- Lead (where applicable) and collaborate with other Account Managers in growing global and national accounts.
- Serve as an example of consulting expertise, professionalism, integrity, and safety to other staff.
- Identify/Mentor/Train next generation of business development professionals.
- Identify and recruit technical experts and future leaders to Stantec.
Project Execution
- Successfully manage and lead programs and/or execute key projects to ensure successful delivery that meets Stantec profitability requirements.
- Provide leadership and coordination of projects through all phases, including opportunity identification, proposal development, procurement, and execution.
- Learn the depth of Stantec's technical resources, identify opportunities for talent growth, training and development.
- Create and ensures a culture of quality within projects and facilitates continuous improvement activities.
- Perform design reviews to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with Stantec policies and guidelines.
- Work diligently in strict adherence to Stantec's safety and ethics cultural.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- Experience developing trustbased client relationships, pursuing, and winning major energy projects, and growing profitable consulting portfolios.
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated abilities in team building and collaboration.
- Champions new ideas and initiatives and creates an environment that supports innovation.
- Demonstrates and fosters a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
- Applies appropriate short to long term strategic logic to decisions and initiatives.
- Thinks strategically about the range of market, business and/or economic issues likely to impact Stantec's future.
- Minimum 20 years of experience managing pursuits and delivery for Energy & Resource projects or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., advanced degree) and experience.
