We are seeking a Manager, Learning Design & Delivery to join our team in Winnipeg or Toronto.


As a key member of the Client Experience organization, the Manager, Learning Design and Delivery will be responsible for the work and performance of the Learning team including instructional designers, learning consultants, and facilitators.

This role will manage course development projects and provide instructional design and project leadership in developing various technical learning solutions for our front-line staff.

The manager will provide overall leadership for learning solutions, design strategies, and strategic planning for the team and help ensure that training projects are completed successfully, on-time, employing sound design and development practices.


The role will be responsible for advancing capabilities across our client's various business lines and functions, taking into account business needs, emerging trends, and evolving learner needs.

Your success in this role will require you to be experienced in content design and facilitating learning material.


The Manager, Learning Design & Delivery will:

  • Work with business partners, key stakeholders, and executives to understand learning needs and create a relevant learning plan.
  • Lead performance consulting and conduct needs analysis to diagnose gaps and develop effective solutions to address capability and development needs.
  • Develop and execute longterm learning strategy, plan, and associated roadmaps for the assigned client group, portfolio, and products.
  • Design and develop a range of delivery platforms such as inclass training, elearning modules, selfpaced web, online, and blended learning to meet the learner and business needs.
  • Assess, evaluate, and propose solutions and plans to continually iterate and improve learning development and production processes.
  • Build tools and strategies to ensure knowledge retention and coaching.
  • Facilitate training and trainthetrainer workshops as required.
  • Research and provide multiple options for learning content delivery utilizing adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Execute the implementation and pre and post launch of all classroom and hybrid course projects.
  • Schedule and assign facilitators to training sessions.
  • Develop detailed project and training plans and manage the overall learning projects, ensuring resources are made available and a consistent training experience is delivered.
  • Ensure that effective test plans are implemented.
  • Lead key players to create visually engaging training content using innovative and new techniques.
  • Develop measurement strategies to demonstrate business and learner impact and effectiveness; identify root causes of projectrelated issues and recommend solutions.

To be successful
as a Manager, Learning Design & Delivery with People Corporation, you will need**:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Distance/Online Education, or related field experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience providing leadership in instructional design or training projects.
  • Expert level technical experience using various authoring tools including Articulate 360, Canva, SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and strategically influence and persuade senior leaders.
  • Extensive project management experience in the Training/Learning domain.
  • Superior understanding of instructional design theories and approaches, and online and blended learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
  • Very strong overall project management and planning skills, along with knowledge of Learning software tools.
  • Ability to manage competing, highpriority demands in a fastpaced environment.
**- Insurance industry experience.

  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) considered an asset.
  • Bilingual with proficiency, both verbally and written, in English and French is an asset.
