Development Coordinator

As a Development Coordinator
You Will:

  • Working alongside a Development Manager, provide support on various projects and assignments that may include coordinating permits, drawing reviews, responding to consultants, and preparing memos, presentations, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with other QuadReal internal teams, consultants, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure the projects are delivered on vision, budget and schedule. Take initiative to organize project priorities and followup on outstanding deliverables within a suitable timeframe.
  • Obtain municipal permits satisfying municipal policies and prepare for public consultation events.
  • Coordinate project legal matters including disclosure statements, air space parcels, housing agreements, easements, right of ways, bylaws, strata plans, etc.
  • Consultant organization & communication (RFPs, contracts, drawing organization, tracking deliverables, etc.).
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and record minutes to distribute to the project team as well as ensure that the information is organized in the project files for the Team.
  • Maintain current knowledge about bylaw changes, development and building regulations, and other government regulations that impact project feasibility.
  • Conduct research on various items related to development projects.

Your Background:


  • 12 years of related project administration experience within a development or construction company environment.
  • Relevant undergraduate degree, preferably with a real estate, business, urban land economics, architecture, or engineering focus.
  • Has a general understanding of development, construction and entitlement processes to facilitate coordination with consultants and contractors. Specific knowledge with mixeduse assets and working in the City of Vancouver is preferred.
  • General understanding of contract language and insurance requirements to facilitate coordination with consultants and contractors.
  • A strong work ethic, ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities and adapt to innovative ideas and constant changes; analytical and detail oriented.
  • Strong proficiency working in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint programs. Additional knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is preferred.

  • The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity._
