We have one of the most experienced environmental engineering consulting teams in Canada and we are seeking a
Reclamation Project Manager to join our team.

This position is office/hybrid/or remote work based, focused on projects in Alberta and British Columbia, while providing support across Canada and internationally where needed.


How Will You Contribute To The Team?
The position includes primarily office-based type tasks, with field site visits/audits as required.

The responsibilities of the Reclamation Project Manager position may include the following:


  • Set and maintain project schedules and budgets, including project financial forecasting; makes decisions with respect to overall technical execution of the project; liaise with technical specialists or other senior project managers to ensure the technical integrity of the project.
  • Provide technical expertise for reclamation programs.
  • Interprets findings and preparation and/or review of technical reports.
  • Supervision and mentorship of junior professional staff involved in carrying out field programs, ensuring project requirements are communicated and health and safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Actively promote Health and Safety programs and culture.
  • Active in business development activities and maintaining client relationships.
  • Participates in the preparation of proposals and cost estimates.
  • Participates in short
- and long-range planning

  • Provide project management expertise for reclamation programs throughout Alberta and British Columbia, managing and supporting field staff completing tasks in soil and surface landscape reclamation (including earthwork subcontractor supervision and guiding quality control), revegetation planning and execution, plant identification, Detailed Site Assessment, Reclamation Certificate Application, and soil surveying using the Canadian System of Soil Classification. Mine land reclamation experience is considered a strong asset.

What Will You Contribute?

  • Diploma or Degree in the fields of Engineering, Agriculture Science, Agrology, Forestry, Biology, Geology or Environmental Sciences.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, including working with colleagues in different geographic regions.
  • Selfmotivated, high energy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage time and multiple projects appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • A Valid Class 5 Full driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Professional Designation (P.Ag., P.Bio., RPF preferred) or have the ability to initiate professional designation process within six months of employment, if not currently registered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of environmental consulting experience with 3+ years of progressive experience encompassing project planning, coordinating and project management with strong emphasis in reclamation and ecological restoration. Contaminated site assessment and remediation experience will be considered an asset.
  • Mine land reclamation experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficient at conducting and managing Detailed Site Assessments using 2010 Reclamation Criteria, Schedule B assessments, advanced capability in vegetation identification, noxious weed surveys, good understanding of upstream O&G and mining regulations in Alberta and British Columbia.
