Engineer Research and Development Intern

The Role:

Bioform is looking for an Engineer Research and Development Engineer Intern to help lead the company in our next growth phase by conducting experimental research to support the development of a novel proprietary bio-plastic production platform.

As a Research Analyst Intern, you'll have the opportunity to help Preparing sample sheets for analytical testing and pressing and develope methodologies to prepare biocompostable sheets with different performance specifications.

This will be a 4 Month Full-Time Internship starting from May 1st - August August 31st.

Please note that this role is in person and not remote.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Conducting experimental research based on scholarly articles on Fluid Dynamics
• Testing of Mechanical Properties of Bioform's material
• Preparing sample sheets for analytical testing and pressing
• Developing methodologies to prepare biocompostable sheets with different performance specifications
• Assisting in analytical testing and pressing experiments
• Collaborating and supporting with Bioform's engineering team with other various need

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Pursuing an Undergraduate degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Physics or similar disciplines
• Experience with MATLAB
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in research and data visualization
• Interests in working with and learning about Fluid Dynamics
• Hands on experience with workshop tools and machinery

$18.00-$20.00 per hour
