Position Description:

Reporting to Legal management, the Program Coordinator

  • Special Legal Projects, works as part of the team within the SickKids Legal Services Department.

Here¿s What You¿ll Get To Do:

  • In collaboration with Legal Department Leadership and Legal team members, be a key team member overseeing the entire lifecycle of the implementation of an electronic contract lifecycle management (eCLM) program, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Work collaboratively with the lead project lawyer, and broader eCLM project team, with operational design and management of legal workflows and processes.
  • Focused on lean principles and use of innovation and business process mapping, contribute to continuous improvement of the Legal team¿s processes including project management methodology, governance, and training for legal teams.
  • Support the creation of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update existing ones.
  • Identify bottlenecks/delays in the contract process try and resolve through identifying process efficiencies, and where necessary escalate significant issues to Legal Management.
  • Take on adhoc duties for special projects, as needed.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor¿s degree in Arts, Science, Social Sciences, or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. We value the diverse perspectives that different academic backgrounds bring to our team.
  • Experience working with a variety of legal contracts relevant to a Hospital and Research environment, for example: _confidentiality disclosure agreements, data and material transfer agreements, and service contracts._
  • A strong understanding of contract development, negotiation, and execution to maximize operational and financial performance and reduce risk.
  • Experience designing reports and analyzing data relevant to contract management statistics to make informed decisions and improve processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a ¿can do¿ attitude, work crossfunctionally, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to challenge and question assumptions.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment, exercising fast and effective decision making.
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring a high level of organizational skills, project coordination, project management and/or process improvement requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives.

Assets

  • Experience working in an academic, research, or healthcare environment.
  • Experience in a variety of tools including Microsoft Office products, (SharePoint, MS Teams, Excel, Power BI,) visualization software (Visio or equivalent), and collaboration software (MS Teams, virtual whiteboards, Miro).
  • Experience with the implementation of an eCLM system.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
